April's Pinterest Party

Once again, I had two Pinterest Parties this month with a fun (and easy) craft for anyone!

Everyone personalized a canvas tote bag. As usual, I found a tutorial on Pinterest. I'm not patient talented enough to paint that lace pattern, so we painted over doilies to create the vintage feel.

Everyone chose a letter to stencil in the center. I hand-painted a monogram for one young participant and even created a more "boy" friendly pattern.

I have extra totes available if you're interested in purchasing one for yourself. These make great gifts..especially for teachers with the end of the year coming up! They'd also make perfect summer totes.

This weekend...

Linking up with Join the Gossip.

I had a really great weekend, but it didn't last long enough!

Friday night, we celebrated Emily over at Be Blessed, Y'all. Her birthday is tomorrow, so we celebrated a little early by eating at our fave local Mexican place and hanging out after.

Saturday started off with a great game of Ultimate Frisbee in the perfect weather!

That evening, I had a private jewelry party with a small group of girls from my church's youth group. Each girl got to design her own cross bracelet and assemble it to her perfect fit. They chose between silver and antiqued gold crosses and hardware and among blue, yellow, while, black, and brown leather for the straps. Everyone had a great time, and I hope they all enjoy their new custom bracelets!

After the jewelry workshop, my boy took me to see my old high school's production of Flashdance! I had never seen the movie, but we loved it! Everyone did a great job singing and dancing.

Oh, and I debuted my new mint pants!!

Sunday after church was a lazy rainy day, and I loved every second.

What I'm loving this Wednesday...

This Wednesday is a very special Wednesday.

Today marks 5 years that this guy has been mine...

We have been through a lot of good times as well as some very hard times over the years, but I wouldn't trade a second for anything else.

We went to Melting Pot to celebrate this weekend, and it was so amazing! I had never been to a fondue restaurant, and I loved it!

Happy Wednesday!

This weekend I...

Linking up to share what I did this weekend...

I was in Savannah for St. Pat's...and I believe that's all I need to say about that.

What did you do for St. Patrick's Day?

This Weekend, I...

Linking up again to share my weekend activities.

I had one of the best weekends ever involving some of my besties and the beach!

I'd like to point out that I won putt-putt this year.

Glad these girls were there to give me some relief from the very  "guy-ish" guys.

Funniest Football Fail

The boys did a Polar Bear Plunge...notice the girls were smart enough not to do this.

And I made it home just in time to watch The Walking Dead with my dad.

This Weekend, I...

First time linking up with LeeAnn from Join the Gossip to share what I did this weekend.

My weekend was jam packed with middle schoolers and formal attire. I work for a local Cotillion director, and this weekend we had our final Spring Balls.

We had 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th graders attend 7 different Oriental Balls and a 5-course Instructional Dinner over four days. It was hectic, and my feet are really happy to be out of heels.

How lucky am I that my boy came to help!? He looked so handsome in his tuxedo, and all of the girls LOVED having him there. Everyone kept cutting in to dance with him. Since we had an Oriental theme this year, everyone got a fortune cookie after their meal...his read "you look great, and you know it." Not really a fortune, but still true!

All of the girls wore white dresses, and the boys rented tuxedos. It was one of the cutest things I have ever witnessed. Have you ever seen a 5th grade boy wait around in the lobby for a special little girl to arrive and then willingly help her off with her coat? It is adorable!

Obviously, we had to make a Waffle House trip at midnight in our formal attire. Check out this distinguished gentleman mulling over his hash brown order.

Don't forget to enter my Monogram Necklace giveaway ending tonight!
