Featured Item of the Week

I should really start having featured items of the month, since I can't seem to keep up with weekly blog posts. That's pretty sad.

Anyway, I am having featured items this week:

These lovely Rose Dangle earrings were added to my Etsy shop last night. I love colored rose beads paired with the smaller gold roses. With a pearl on the end, these earrings are perfect to dress up any outfit.

I'm very proud that I got a few things up on my shop last night. Hopefully more to come today!

New Tags!

The Tag Ladies have posted new tags this week, and change all their prices! In case you don't know, The Tag Ladies is my new Etsy shop that I've opened with my mom. She's the crafts-lady working her little fingers to the bone making all these tags in my sweat shop. I'm the marketer/shop runner, and I sell the tags at my booth along with my jewelry.

What I'm Loving Wednesday

I'm loving that it's halfway to Friday. I think I say this every week! This week, I'm especially loving that it's almost the weekend, because Saturday is my birthday!!

I'm loving all the new items I've added to my Etsy shop, and I've already had some fans "admire" many of them! Check them out, and let me know what you think! I still have more items coming soon! I have rhinestone "Bling" Headbands, more Vintage Cuffs, and new Earring Holder Frames and Cages.

I'm loving the response I got from my $3 Garage Sale. It was definitely the most success I've had selling things through my blog so far. Check out what I have left and add something new to your closet! There are still some great pieces left, and you can't beat the $3 price!

Exciting Etsy News

We got some very exciting Etsy news last week. My dad's life drawing shop, Life Study, had it's first sale!

What's even more exciting is that the drawing shown above sold to the set decorator for the NBC show Parenthood. We're hoping that the drawing will show up in some of the episodes as he had to sign a release form.

As far as first sales go, I think that's just about as good as it can get!

It's only 9:30...

...but it's been a good day already!! I woke up with 2 sales! (major for me)

That purple stone ring and grown-up friendship bracelet can no longer be yours. There are more similar bracelets in my shop though! And I actually have a few more color design to be added soon. Who loves sea green and coral? teal and navy? The new styles are on gold chain, and I think they are just beautiful! Can't wait to debut them next week!!

This afternoon is Emily's Bridesmaid Luncheon in Atl followed by the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. I'm just too excited for all the wedding festivities!!! Tomorrow is the BIG day!!

The Bin

I've set up a new section in my Dad's Etsy shop. It's called "The Bin", and everything is $50. This is a great way to get a piece of original art (signed by the artist) for a low price. Act fast!! There are nine new pieces in this section.

What I'm Loving Wednesday

First of all, I'm loving that I'm finally able to link up and post this. I was having trouble with loading certain internet pages this morning. I was mainly having trouble with Google and PayPal. Has anyone else been having a problem? I'm linking up with Jamie again for WILW.

Featured Item and a Little Something Special

I look forward to Mondays for one reason...New Featured Item Post.

Today's featured item is this Red Cameo Necklace. I paired a vintage cameo charm in a deep red color with a small decorative gold key. I don't actually know the story behind this cameo, but I absolutely love it! This necklace is certified Hand Made and Lovely!

The pendant hangs just over an inch from an 18" gold chain. The necklace hooks with a lobster clasp. Click here to see more about this necklace, and click here to see the rest of my Etsy shop. I forced my model/roommate to wear a white shirt, so the piece would have a neutral background. I actually think this necklace would go with a lot of different outfits. What would you wear it with? Today has been busy already! Last night I got cozy on the couch watching Jersey Shore (guilty pleasure) making fabric flowers! I got new fabric yesterday afternoon, so I could not wait to start sewing! These new flowers are adorable! I made new headbands and pins. New Projects

So many new projects on my plate today.

Yesterday, my studio (archi-torture) went on a site visit to Greenville. We were introduced to our newest project, a mid-rise mixed-use complex at the corner of Main and Broad. Can you get any more American than that corner? After walking around the site, we got permission to go to the unfinished 6th floor of the hotel across the street. It was the perfect place to take this picture. I'll post more as the project develops.

Update on my "Easy A" status...LOVED IT! It was so much funnier than I thought it was going to be. I love Emma Stone's timing and sense of humor. I definitely recommend it to anyone who likes quick wit!

Today, I took a shopping trip! I got some new (really cute) fabrics for fabric flower pins and headbands...look for those soon!! I'M SO EXCITED FOR NEW FABRIC!!

I also got in a custom order for 2 large earrings holder frames for 2 sisters. I'll be finishing those this weekend and hopefully posting pictures of the lovely ladies with their new jewelry displays. Contact me with questions about custom frame orders.

The Best Kind of Email

What I'm Loving Wednesday

First of all, I'm loving all my new followers!! I got 7 yesterday!! SEVEN! Some of y'all big time bloggers might not think that is so amazing...but I'm freaking out! When I get 50 followers, I want to do a giveaway.

I'm loving that I reintroduced myself to my tennis shoes last night...and the gym. Hopefully I'll see you both again tonight.

I'm loving that I'm going to see Easy A tonight on campus for FREE! It's one of those movies that I didn't know if I wanted to see, so I definitely didn't want to spend money on it. They are showing it for free tonight on campus and giving away popcorn. Has anyone seen it?

I'm loving this new blog network I found last night. It's not new...it's new to me. Twenty Something Bloggers...If you're in your 20's, go check it out. It's a great way to connect with to bloggers. There are fun groups and discussions to join! I have a button on the right hand side of my blog now.

I'm loving that I started my 101 in 1001 list...not sure when I'll actually finish it.

I'm loving that amberleilani found and likes my rhinestone bobby pin. It always makes me so happy to see that someone has added one of my jewelry pieces to their favorites. Thank you Amber! Check out Amber's blog and Etsy site...she makes really amazing art dolls!!

Featured Item of the Week

If you scroll back through older posts, you'll notice I started out having a featured Etsy item each week (or most weeks). It's been months since I've had one. I'm keeping my resolution strong...this week's featured Etsy item is a one-of-a-kind hair pin. The pendant used to be a vintage clip-on earring. I removed the "earring parts" and glued the beaded charm to a heavy duty silver bobby pin. I always say these pins are heavy duty because I have very thick hair, and I would want to know if a pin was heavy duty enough to hold my hair back...these are! I love vintage costume jewelry, and I love giving old pieces new life. I'm also big into bobby pins currently because I'm growing out bangs. All my pins are just cute little accessories to add something unique to an outfit. Find this pin here and browse through my shop for other fun hair pins.

I think I have been doing extremely well with my resolutions...already two posts in one day! I just posted new rings, bobby pins, and the fabric flower headband shown below.
