This week's topic is 2 random facts about yourself.

1. I'm about to fill out a March Madness bracket. My boyfriend presented me with a challenge today that we should have a mini-competition between ourselves, and the loser buys Osaka. Osaka is this really awesome hibachi restaurant in Clemson. I LOVE it!! So, in order to save myself $15, does anyone have any suggestions? Who should I pick to win it all?? I need help!

2. I have a pink bookbag. (random enough??)

Top 2 Things you've learned about money:

These are some things I've learned about money in college.

1. It's lame with your friends have money and you don't. It sucks having to say that you can't go out to dinner with everyone because you're out of cash. It also sucks to go shopping with a friend who can actually afford to buy stuff!!

2. It's just as lame to have money with your friends don't. Now, you're the one asking people to go out, and they can't. It's always more fun to go shopping when your friends are having fun and buying cute things too!

Top 2 Things you've learned from your parents or grandparents.

I chose to stick with things I've learned from my grandparents.

1. "You can't purify the water by painting the pump." - Poppie. My Poppie is always cracking jokes and saying the most random things. This little gem sticks in my head. To me, it means that what's on the outside isn't as important as what's on the inside. Fancy clothes and cute accessories don't mean a thing if you have an ugly soul.

2. You can hide in a diaper. This one comes from my Mimi (Poppie's lady). She didn't actually say this, so don't think she's insane. We used to play this game where we'd sit at her kitchen table and pretend like we were very small. We would each pick a hiding spot, and the other would guess where we were "hiding". She has an old picture hanging in her kitchen of my grandpa and his siblings. One of them was in a diaper, and she hid in the diaper one day. I don't know why that has stuck in my head all these years. I interpret that situation as her telling me to "be creative", "weigh all your options", and "don't be afraid to get a little dirty".

3. I have to include my Gwee in this post. I have three grandparents, and I have learned so much from all of them. One of the greatest things I've learned from Gwee (yes, this is what we call her) is that it is perfectly fine, and in fact encouraged, to abruptly swerve across cross a busy 6-lane highway for hot Krispy Kreme donuts.

1. Blog about what you love. I think it’s easy to tell when someone’s heart isn’t in their blog or post. How can you expect your followers to be interested if you’re not even interested?
2. Be an active blogger. To make blog friends, it’s important to visit the blogs you follow and leave comments. It’s also important to search for new blogs. Follow people’s links and check out the blogs that other people like. If you like their blog, it’s likely that you’ll like the blogs they like. How many times can I say “like” in one sentence?

Top 2 things you've learned about friendship

I'm excited to go look at everyone's lessons and advice! Here are 2 of the things I've learned about friendship since going to college.

1.  Friends will stay in touch if they want to stay in touch. Distance won’t matter, but it does take both people making a conscious effort. True friendships (or any other kind of relationship) can last long distance.

2. Just because you like someone does not mean that you will like living with them.

Today’s Top 2 Tuesday topic is not my expertise.

Top 2 Healthy Recipes and Snack ideas!

 I must say that I am not the healthiest eater. I’ve gotten a lot better over the years, but I’m not sure my snacks can really be qualified as “healthy”. I decided to pick 2 of my most healthy favorite snacks…hope you health nuts approve. Maybe y’all can suggest some actual health options for me!

1. Pretzels – I LOVE pretzels! Since they’re fat free and baked, I think they are a healthier alternative to potato chips.

2. String Cheese – I buy the mozzarella made with skim milk, and it’s low on calories. Again, not sure if cheese if qualified as “healthy”. It’s important to get calcium though, right??

Top 2 Outfits I'm loving for Spring:

1. I love this dress that I found here. My favorite part about warm weather is being able to wear comfortable and cute dresses. I love the colors and bold pattern of this dress! Apparently, it's on sale...but still too pricey for my budget.

2. I also love flowy shirts. I think this one is homemade...so maybe if I get bold I could pull out my sewing machine before spring. Again, I love the colors and pattern. This top would be perfect with denim burmuda shorts or skinny jeans and cute sandals. This shirt, and others like it, can be found here. 


Now this is getting me too excited for spring! We still have ice on the ground, and I'm afraid it will be a long winter!
