July Market Day

Yesterday was my very first mass sale booth-thing. My town has been having a First Saturday Market around the square for a number of years now, and I've been a frequent visitor and buyer. My mom convinced me that I needed to get a booth for the July Market (since we had already missed the deadline for June). Luckily, I got all my registration application material in on time and made the cut! Apparently they end up with a long waiting list each month.

So from that time on, I had been busily making new pieces and working on my display in between two jobs and everything else I had going on.

I have to admit I was nervous before the sale. Is this something that ever goes away? I was just worried I wouldn't make my $35 registration fee back, or it would rain, or my booth would blow away in a gust of wind, or I wouldn't be received well.

Luckily, the weather was perfect! It was a little hot, but the small breeze helped with that. I definitely made my registration fee back, and I'm already planning on doing it again next month! Having this first booth, I learned some things I want to change for next time.

Here's a few pictures from the day!
Orange and white striped road-blockers were not part of my design concept.

I was so happy at the end of my sale. I had a great experience, and I'm looking forward to the first Saturday in August!
