So, I was buying supplies last night through Etsy (get excited for new things to come) and after making my purchase, I received a message saying that I was this seller's 5000th sale! First of all, that's crazy that they have sold that much! Second of all, that's awesome for both of us, because I get a free gift!! That got me thinking about my own sales. I've been on #14 for almost a month. Lucky #15 is going to get a free pair of button earrings! I have several colors and styles to choose from. Make sure to mention my blog in the note to the seller so that I can include your pair. Let me know your favorite color, and I'll see what I can do!

Treasury Feature
I was so excited to receive an Etsy convo today informing me that my safety pin bracelet had been chosen as a part of one of LoveNaturally's Treasuries. She chose 16 "colorful, tribal, and earthy finds". Everything looks so beautiful together, and I love the colors. Be sure to check out all the items in her treasury...http://www.etsy.com/treasury/4c98eb8a94f06d91f8c980ff/color-connections?index=0

Newest Craft Project
Tuesday night, no homework, one roommate is in a meeting and the other is taking a test...what to do?? Obviously, I choose to do a craft project!! I made this cute fabric flower out of an old tiger stripe dress I found in a thrift store. Of course, I had to add a purple button and sew it to my bookbag!
Last summer I found a huge polyester orange and white tiger stripe dress. Despite my boyfriend's strange looks, I bought it. My mom and I converted the dress into a knee-length skirt, sash belt, fabric necklace, and headband. I've been looking for a use of the other scraps I had left...perfect!
I just think these fabric flowers are so cute and versatile! They could be made of any fabric, any color, and attached to almost anything (headbands, shirt, necklace, bracelet, bookbag, purse, etc.). Tell me your ideas!

I'm Back!!
It's been so long since I've blogged! I have really good excuses though! First, I flew up to New York so that I could help my brother move. We packed EVERYTHING in his 2 bedroom apartment in less than 24 hrs! Then, we started our road trip back down to GA. We stopped at Falling Water...amazing!!!! After three days of driving we were finally home, sweet home. He left a few days later driving to Austin, TX, while I headed to the beach! A week of relaxing in the sand with friends and no computer. (That of course means no blogging either.) Then, I came back to school and turned 21. I'm just getting settled back in, so it is the perfect time to start blogging again.
I'm getting ready for my big Clemson jewelry sale in about a week and a half. I have to get everyone invited, label all my jewelry with prices, and set up the apartment on the day of. After the sale, there will be new Etsy items! (Unless they all sell, of course.) I'll be sure to blog it! Hopefully, I'll be able to get back on my semi-regular schedule again.

Top 2 Tuesday
So today's Top 2 Tuesday theme is:
Top 2 Favorite perfumes/colognes/scents
I've never really been a perfume girl, so I'm choosing to focus on the "scent" portion.
1. There is nothing like the smell right before it's gonna rain on a summer night in the south. I love swinging on the back porch right before a storm. There are just no words to describe that scent!
2. I love the smell of little clean babies. What happens to that smell as we get older? Why do we lose it? The world would be such a nicer place if we all smelled so wonderful.
Hope this isn't breaking the rules :) But those are my Top 2 favorite scents!

Featured Etsy Item of the Week
So I once again forgot to post a featured item yesterday. I guess it's still early in the week, so I won't be too down on myself. This week's featured item is this vintage button ring. My friend, Rachel, told me I should start making rings because she has become obsessed with them. I just had to listen!! (She bought 2!) This ring has a dark red flower shaped button attached to a silver adjustable ring base. The flower is so cute! It would be perfect for a UGA football game (or any other school with red as a main color). What a deal for only $5!!

New Etsy Items
I've posted new Etsy items again!! Four pairs of earrings today, and I posted two new bobby pins and a necklace and earring set yesterday. One pair of the earrings posted today is pictured above. I love this color blue, and I think the larger beaded balls are cute. The smaller glass beads offset the size. The earrings dangle about 1 & 1/2". They are so bright! Perfect for a summer outfit or to bring color to fall or winter. Check them out...a true deal for only $10!!

New Etsy Items
I've finally posted some new Etsy items! Be sure to check them out and let me know what you think! I've posted 2 new necklaces, a very cute bobby pin, a chunky beaded bracelet, and 3 rings. Rings are new! My friend, Rachel, suggested I make some...so I did.
Top 2 Tuesday
Sometimes I feel like Tuesday probably brags to all the other days of the week for having all the cutesy names...anyway, I think this is such a fun idea! (and hopefully it will get me to blog regularly every Tues.) This week's Top 2 Tuesday theme is Top 2 Things You Want to Purchase! How hard is that to narrow down??
Currently, my number one "wanna be" purchase is a new car. I love this white jeep! I could definitely use the upgrade. Pretty please Daddy :)
My second purchase would be a little smaller. I really want to get some kind of clay beads. I think these are beautiful! I'm always looking for new jewelry makings.

Featured Etsy Item of the Week
I have been slacking so badly!! I promised myself I'd remember to post a featured item every Sunday. Well, it's almost Tuesday. This week's featured Etsy item is this beautiful fresh water pearl necklace. A small charm made of fresh water pearls on a gold chain is sure to dress up any outfit. I love the simplicity and elegance of the piece. This would make a great gift! And even better, I just put the item on sale...20% off!! This sale won't last long! I have another necklace featuring brown fresh water pearls too. I can make more similar necklaces of different lengths if you were thinking of them as bridesmaid gifts or wanted one for you and one for a family member or friend. Feel free to contact me!

I'm Surrounded by Orange and Purple!!
...Not that that is a bad thing :)
I have missed being at Clemson this summer so much! My jewelry journey brought me to the conclusion that I needed to make some Clemson-themed jewelry for all my girls up there! I plan on having a show/sale Saturday, August 28th (which is the Saturday before football starts). Everyone needs something new to wear to the first game! The Clemson jewelry will be the feature, but I am also going to have all the items from my Etsy shop on display and for sale. So far I've made key chains, bobby pins, rings, earrings, and necklaces all featuring the beautiful colors of orange, purple, and white. I've been using glass and plastic beads, vintage buttons, and even a pair of vintage clip-on earrings (They found new life as a ring and necklace.). For all the Clemson girls interested, I plan on making a Facebook event shortly after classes start. Let me know if you'd like to be on the guest list!

Blog Bash
So, I've decided to join in on this Blog Bash as a way to hopefully network and gain more followers...If you're new to my blog, I'll introduce myself. My name is Bracey, and I'm about to be a senior at Clemson University. I'm studying architecture and have recently starting making and selling jewelry. I have lots of pretty treasures in my Etsy shop, braceypate.etsy.com, and you can actually see a lot of them on this blog. Now on to the questions...
1.) Why do you blog?
After I started my jewelry business, my dad told me I should start a blog. I was hesitant, but I'm really glad I did! It's a fun way for me to post more about my jewelry. I love being able to give better descriptions about why I made a certain piece, or where I got the materials.
2.) What do you blog about?
I mainly blog about thing I'm working on or things I've recently finished. I try to post a feature item each week, but sometimes I slack. I also post when I've new new materials because it always excites me!!
3.) What do you find to be the biggest reward you get from blogging?
I love it when someone tells me they like my jewelry. I never get too many comments, so it's always so great to have something! I need some more followers!!
4.) How long have you been blogging?
I started blogging in late May of 2010. I'm VERY new!
5.) Let's hear the story behind your blog title! :)
My blog is titled B-Jeweled as a play on words, since my first name starts with a "B" and I'm trying to sell jewels! I also just think everyone deserves to be jeweled! Jewel yourself!! Check out my Etsy shop and other posts!

Featured Etsy Item of the Week
This week's featured Etsy item is another button necklace. This is one is a little different than my others though. I took 2 vintage buttons and wired them together to make a pendant and then attached the pendant to a gold chain. The chain is 18" long. I love the colors! This could be casual or dressy.

Any Business Out There??
I'm in the market for some cute boutiques that would want to sell Bracey Pate Jewelry. As stated in a previous post, I have a few things in a store in Greenwood, SC. I've been searching and have a few options lined up. Let me know if you know any local boutiques needing some new cute jewelry or accessories!! I'd love to send them some information.

My jewelry is now being featured at The Briarpatch on 34 in Greenwood, South Carolina!! This is a really cute store in downtown Greenwood that sells gifts and home decor items. Happy Father's Day! Featured Etsy Item of the Week
Yes, it is Father's Day, but no, the featured item of the week has nothing to do with fathers. I don't really have any merchandise geared towards the men of the house, but what Dad doesn't want their girl looking like a million bucks?? (especially when it only costs $7.50!) This week's featured Etsy item, is a multi-strand beaded necklace. This necklace features sandy yellow, plum, and ice blue beads. I love the color combination! It makes the piece very versatile. The necklace clasps with a gold toggle hook. To see more details, you can view the item in my Etsy shop...http://www.etsy.com/listing/47868869/multi-strand-beaded-necklace. Thanks for checking it out! Make sure to wish all the fathers a happy day!

Featured Etsy Item of the Week
This week's featured item is brand spankin' new! It's a 28"x28" throw pillow made from an Italian silk scarf and cotton twill fabric. This pillow has beautiful colors: green, red-orange, and yellow. I sewed in snaps on the bottom seem so that the cover can be taken off and washed or dry-cleaned. Has a Euro pillow form inside the cover. It would make a great featured accent pillow on any bed, couch, or arm-chair!

Featured Etsy Item of the Week
Each week I plan on posting an item from my Etsy shop. This week I'm highlighting this "Special Button Necklace". I found 3 of these "special" buttons in an antique store in downtown Newnan and love them!! In this necklace I paired the fancy button with more rustic black beads. I think they set each other off very nicely. I also have a matching bracelet. I'll give a special deal to anyone who wants to buy the pair!!
