This Week's Featured Item

This week's featured item is one of my ribbon wrapped bling cuffs.

I love the milky white rhinestones combined with the sea green satin ribbon. The aluminum cuff is adjustable and extremely light-weight.

Add this bling cuff to your jewelry wardrobe today! Be sure to check out the purple and white options too!

Pinteresting Friday

I have jumped on the Pinterest bandwagon! I'm sure most of you are thinking, "What took you so long?" I'm kind of asking myself the same question.

I've already found some great ideas. Each Friday I want to share some of weekly finds with you. You'll hopefully get a better sense of my style, and I can get some feedback from you for new ideas I have.

I'll start off my sharing this amazing cake pan and candlestick tiered pedestal.

I MUST make this ASAP!! I even went to Goodwill today to see if I could find some supplies. They had a couple of candlestick contenders, but I'm keeping my options open. I'll probably paint my pink, yellow, or white. I could use this to display jewelry at a sale or for basically anything. How cute would this be at a shower filled with treats?!?

This next one I stole from my friend Emily.

I'm going to have to remember how to do this once Fall rolls around. I'm the kind of girl who only wears scarves in the Fall and Winter...I don't understand Summer scarves...

Follow me on Pinterest, so I can check out all your pins too!

Happy Friday!

CoinStar

So, I had my first CoinStar experience on Monday. I've always just taken my coins to the bank, because I knew that CoinStar machines take 9.8% of your money. Well, I found out that if you choose to get a gift card instead, it's free! I opted for an Old Navy/Gap/Banana Republic gift card because I have a $10 off coupon for Old Navy valid today through Monday.

I had my own jar of money I've found and a little bit of change from my purse. My mom let me take her 2 jars of change. I filled a small bucket with dimes, nickels, and pennies. We're sending all the quarters to my brother so he can do laundry. Then, we made guesses to see who was closest to the final amount. I guessed $18. My mom guess $22, and my dad guessed $32. Well my faja won! We had a grand total of $41.77 worth of change sitting around our house. I'm going to convert that into new clothes today! With my coupon, I have a $52 budget!

I'm so glad I found out about the giftcard option. I'm definitely more inclined to use CoinStar now that I know I get to keep all my money. They have Kroger cards, Amazon money, iTunes cards, etc. Something for everyone! By the way, this isn't a paid advertisement for CoinStar. I'm just genuinely excited about the gift card, and I wanted to share!!

Have you ever used CoinStar? What's the most you've gotten out of one visit?

What I'm Loving Wednesday

I'm linking up with Jamie for WILW!

As always, I'm loving that it's Wednesday! I'm just excited for the weekend. I've already got plans to go see a movie, but I have no idea which one. Any suggestions??

I'm loving the good traffic this week. I commute to Atlanta three days each week for my internship, and I've hardly had to step on my brakes. I hope the traffic gods don't make me regret saying this...

I'm loving that my Toms arrived on Monday! I was worried about picking the right size, but I chose correctly. I'm planning on sporting these tomorrow!

I'm loving my new Jillian Michael's workout dvd. The quick workouts are so easy to fit in to my schedule! I'm planning on having abs identical to hers any day now...

Hope y'all are having a great Wednesday!

Make your own vintage inspired jewelry...with my help

This is mainly for my local readers, but I encourage everyone to attend. I saw an art gallery in Greenville, SC had a series of classes where people would bring in their own vintage jewelry and learn how to make something new. I thought this was the greatest idea!

I generally use a lot of vintage finds whether it an old earring, a jeweled brooch, or grandma's buttons. Everything can be re-purposed! This is great way to use and enjoy grandmas huge clip-on earrings or to make something wearable out of that beautiful brooch you bought at a flea market last month. I even incorporate old beads.

Here are the details of the class:

I'm planning on having this postcard at the September Market Day sale to pass out to interested customers. Space in each session is limited, so email me today to hold your spot! Spread the word to anyone in the Newnan area that may be interested!

At each session, I'll be showing tons of examples and doing a demo of my design process. I'll be there to help as much or as little as each person needs! I'm looking forward to September!

Birthday Recap!

I had a great birthday weekend...and it's actually continuing tonight!! It all started Saturday with pizza and the Braves. I went out to a local pizza place that always has the Braves' games on with my boy and another couple who are friends of ours. Thanks to my sweet friend Rachel, I'll be getting a pedicure soon! When we got home, it was after midnight, so Ryan was kind enough to let my impatient excited-self open my presents!!

Can't wait to wear this to a Braves games this weekend!

My band is actually gray. I couldn't find the exact hat.

Hilarious book so far!

Saturday afternoon brought cookie cake and gifts from my parents.

Ready for the beach again!

Matches my pink mixer perfectly!

These babies are coming in the mail! :)

Ryan took me to a Japanese steakhouse for dinner, and we came home and watched movies because we were too stuffed to move!

22 has been good to me so far...can't wait to see what the rest of the year brings! Tonight my parents are taking me to my favorite pizza place for Tuesday night trivia...hope we win!! Age does bring wisdom, right?

This Week's Featured Item

I'm a little late posting the featured item for this week...it's been a busy Monday. I've got exciting plans for September, and I was busy planning today.

This week's featured item is one of my newest posted pieces. My Vintage Bow Cuff Bracelet is the perfect addition to any outfit!

It's simple design lends itself to be worn with almost anything! The large gold bow used to be a fun holiday brooch. I wrapped an aluminum cuff bracelet in grey linen and vintage chain.

Bows are big right now, and this is truly a one-of-a-kind, statement piece of jewelry. At a great price, this would be the perfect gift!! Find it in my shop today!

Blog Bash!

I've stumbled upon a new Blog Bash link-up!! I love finding new link-ups, because it always leads to me finding new blogs to read!

So, to start out, I'll introduce myself to any new readers. My name is Bracey, and I love to create. I'm a recent graduate of Clemson University with a degree in Architecture. I love all sorts of design and use my free time to make jewelry and accessories. Want to know more? Check out some of my old posts!

This Blog Bash has a Summer theme, and I have some questions to answer.

1.) What's your favorite memory from Summer 2011?
My favorite memory of Summer 2011 would have to be my most recent beach trip with 3 of my best friends! We had so much fun, and it was so great to be able to spend a few days together since we're all going our separate ways this Fall. I surely hope we'll be able to do this again soon!

2.) What's your dream summer vacation?
I've always wanted to go to Vegas! I have fantasies of winning the slot machine jackpot!

3.) What's your favorite thing to do in the summer?
I love to relax! I'm afraid that now that I'm out of school, the summer won't be much different from the rest of the year :( (only hotter!!)

4.) What's your "blog goal" for 2011?
My goal for the month is to reach 200 followers! I'm so close!! In January, I made a goal to blog regularly and keep up my Etsy shop. I think I've been doing pretty well so far. I've definitely been slacking a little lately, but I'm trying to get back into my normal routine.

5.) Let's hear the story behind your blog title!
My blog (and Etsy Shop) is called Hand Made and Lovely after an old sweater tag I found in a jar full of vintage buttons. I just thought it was the perfect name for all my creations!

Saving Up

Some of you might remember my old iPhone meter...well now I've got a new item I'm saving up for...

Ash Canvas Toms!! Do any of you have Toms? Help me with sizing! I've been seeing online that you should buy them a 1/2 size smaller than your regular shoe size because they tend to stretch. Is that true? I'm worried about getting the wrong size.

I'm already 80% of the way the my goal! Check out all the new items I've posted in my Etsy shop to help me out. I think one sale would put me over into Tom Heaven!!

This Week's Featured Item

This week's featured item is one of my new Earring Holder Frames.

This large white frame measures 14.5" x 17.5". Depending on the size of each pair, this frame could hold over 40 pairs of earrings! The sawtooth hanger on the back allows this frame to easily be hung on the wall of your closet, bathroom, bedroom, or dressing area. Your earring could make beautiful "art" in any space! Stay organized while showing off your beautiful jewelry! Mine makes accessorizing so much easier. I can't even remember how I used to store my earrings.

These have proven to be very popular! I have two, so contact me today if you would like both frames. I can adjust the Etsy listing. These make great presents! (Especially to someone going off to college...perfect for dorm rooms and apartments!!)

Special Key Earrings

I have several new pairs of key earrings to add to my shop. These have always proven to be popular items! These three pairs are a little special, and they would be perfect for a special person.

This first pair of vintage barrel keys is stamped with the name "Miller". If your last name is Miller, you need these earrings!! Spread the word to all your "Miller" friends. I had a lady at my sale on Saturday buy a pair of key earrings because her last name is "Keys"!

These antique flat keys are stamped with the numbers "5985". How perfect would it be if your birthday or anniversary was May 9, 1985?!?!

This pair of vintage barrel keys has a little less specific stamp...the number "8". The number "8" could be significant for many reasons. Maybe (like me) your birthday is in August. Maybe you have 8 kids. Maybe 8 is your lucky number. Maybe you were married on the 8th of the month. The number is only stamped on one key.

While these earrings do have stamps and potentially specific buyers, they are also just amazing pieces to add to anyone's jewelry wardrobe. Look for them to be added to my Etsy shop tonight! These are all one-of-a-kind sets of earrings.
